President's Message

Welcome to the Petroleum Packaging Council. If you are a packaging professional in the lubricants and automotive fluids business, our association is the place to go to make your business safer, more efficient, and more profitable, and to make your career more successful.

As I write this, the unofficial start of summer has just passed, with the official start of summer just a few short weeks ahead. And if summer is upon us, then that means that it isn’t too early to begin planning for the PPC’s Fall Meeting in Nashville, TN on August 17, 18, and 19. As usual, the meeting will be packed with relevant content and myriad opportunities to meet, network, and learn. If you attended the Spring Meeting in Tampa, you’re probably eager to see how we can match that meeting’s effectiveness in the fall. You won’t be disappointed. If you missed the Spring Meeting, this is the perfect opportunity to catch up and start reaping the benefits of your PPC membership.

This will be my final meeting as President of PPC, but by no means will be my final meeting as a PPC member. My 17 years in the association have been so rewarding and so beneficial to me and my company, I see no reason that I won’t continue for years to come. The people I’ve met, the relationships I’ve built, the things I’ve learned, and the business I’ve done have all contributed to my professional and personal development, and I always look forward to the next new face, the next new technology, or the next new opportunity.

Are you actively participating? Remember, it’s our members that make our association strong. And a strong association is good for our industry, and a strong industry is good for all of us.
