This August, the Petroleum Packaging Council convened in Denver, Colorado, for its 2025 Fall Meeting, marking the second major gathering of the year during this milestone 75th anniversary year. With record engagement, fresh industry insights, and the stunning backdrop of the Rockies, this conference blended high-altitude energy with high-impact content.

A Breathtaking Venue at The Westin Denver Downtown

Nestled in the heart of downtown, The Westin Denver served as the ideal launchpad for our fall meeting. From nearby breweries and city parks to skyline views from the rooftop pool, the location struck a balance between relaxation and productivity. Whether it was Saturday’s networking reception or spontaneous hallway conversations, the venue helped set an excellent tone for the week.

Sunday: Tee-Offs, Brunch Bonds and Networking

The Sunday golf tournament at Arrowhead Golf Club offered postcard-worthy views and serious competition.

Meanwhile, the Women’s Brunch at West Saloon & Kitchen offered an inspiring moment of connection and leadership, rounding out the day.

Keynote Spotlight: Jim Craig on the Power of Teamwork

Monday kicked off with an unforgettable keynote from Jim Craig; Olympic gold medalist and iconic goalie from the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” team. His message? Teamwork wins whether you’re chasing pucks or packaging solutions. His powerful, personal stories had attendees leaving inspired to lead with renowned grit and purpose.

75th Anniversary Banquet: Denim, Diamonds & Dedication

Tuesday night was one to remember! With a “Denim & Diamonds” theme, members gathered for a western-inspired celebration that featured craft beer tastings, line dancing, a photo station, and a silent auction benefiting the Rocky Mountain Fisher House Foundation with a donation of over $4,000! PPC honored its 75th year in style while reinforcing its commitment to service and community.

New Members, Stronger Community

Our mentor program welcomed another strong class of new members at this meeting, with Sunday’s New Member Experience setting the tone. Paired with seasoned PPC leaders, these first-time attendees were quickly immersed into the culture, value, and impact of PPC membership.

What’s Next? A New President!

As we reflect on the incredible momentum of this fall’s meeting, we recognize that the real success stems from our members. From volunteers to speakers to sponsors, you all brought the energy, expertise, and camaraderie that define PPC’s long-lasting legacy.

As our committees (Technical Education, Communications, and Long-Range Planning) continue driving forward, we encourage every member to stay engaged and involved in any way they can.

Thank you for helping us make Denver a true highlight of our anniversary year. We’ll see you next year in Arizona!
